Our Story
In August, 1958, the first Igreja Cristã Primitiva was founded in the state of Paraná, Brazil, by Pastor Geraldo Tudisco under the direction of God and with the support of his family. To prepare the church’s first sanctuary, Pastor Geraldo Tudisco used his carpentry, metalworking, and construction skills to prepare the church pews and build the church from the foundation to the windows. Throughout his life, he raised his family according to the values found in the Bible and strived to guide the church members with the same uncorrupted biblical principles as they sought to have a relationship with God. Years later, there are over 70 churches within this denomination throughout Brazil.

Currently, Pastor João Paulo Rodrigues Cardoso and Missionary Edilene Tudisco Penha serve as church leaders and continually preach and live the powerful and life-changing truth of the Gospel. We as a church believe in the miraculous and liberating power of the Holy Spirit and will continue the legacy of preaching the Gospel as our Lord Jesus Christ commanded us to do.
However, the story of the church continued when Pastor Everson Penha and Missionary Edilene Tudisco Penha, the son-in-law and daughter of Pastor Geraldo Tudisco, arrived in the United States in 1998. After settling with his family in Framingham, Massachusetts, Pastor Everson (in memoriam) founded the first Igreja Cristã Primitiva in December of the year 2000 under the guidance of the Lord and the support of his family and the Igreja Cristã Primitiva Convention. With the foundations laid, the church flourished and now not only has seven active ministries within the institution, but is continually growing in numbers, faith, and unity.
